The Cascadia Scorecard ranks the largest seven cities in the Northwestern U.S. and Western Canada in how well they contain sprawl.

"The Rose City finished ahead of Seattle; Eugene; Spokane, Wash.; and Boise, Idaho, but trailed Victoria and Vancouver, both in British Columbia, Canada... The study also found that Washingtons Clark County stood out as having the most sprawl during the past decade of any area in the Portland metropolitan region."
