Cisco is now negotiatingwith leading conservation groups to reduce the opposition to its plan to build the campus is San Jose's most desirable open space.. It has offered to donate $3 million for open space, endorse and help fund a political campaign, and form a coalition to raise $50 million for wildlife preserves and public parks. The conservation groups are not enthusiastic about the offer and are concerned about increased traffic, dirtier air and higher housing prices.
