A new report provides a comprehensive picture of the 80,000 persons who are homelessness nightly in Los Angeles.
The report summarizes local research and homeless counts that provide data on the number of people who are homeless, their geographic distribution, family status, youth, gender, race/ethnicity, veterans, citizenship, physical health, domestic violence, child abuse, substance abuse, mental health, education, income, public benefits, length of time homeless, and sleeping arrangements. Research findings were compiled from studies by UCLA, USC, RAND, LAHSA, the LA County Department of Health Services, and other organizations. The report is authored by the Center's Director, Paul Tepper. [Editor's note: The line below is to an approximately 100K PDF document.]
