Rick Liftig of Hartford, CT writes: "The 7,000-square-foot mansions of today will likely be divided into small apartments or face abandonment....Health concerns and failing eyesight will keep us away from long auto commutes." He also writes that most senior residents will choose to live in neighborhoods where basic needs and services are easily accessible. He also writes: "Parking lots will need to be redesigned, as will street crossings....When we reach the point that driving is as dangerous as it is liberating, we will have reason to keep our cars in the garage."
