Edinburgh may be the first Scottish city to try congestion pricing, but others will surely follow.

"Andrew Burns, Edinburgh City Council transport convener, told the first day of a public inquiry into congestion charging in the city that it was inevitable. Traffic growth was a serious threat to quality of life and failure to deal with it had been called an absolute abdication of responsibility, Mr Burns said."
