The newly opened Italian Center in Salt Lake City will give a gathering place and showcase all parts of Italian culture
Although there are over 25,000 Italian-Americans in Salt Lake County, they had no place to collectively call home, until now. The new Italian Center will have a small library, show Italian TV and movies, stage art shows, book groups, cooking clubs, and offer language classes. It will also include photographs and histories of Italian immigrants to Utah, many of whom worked as miners and railroad laborers. The Center is located next to an existing Italian Market and Deli.
