Based on data from Freddie Mac and Federal Housing Finance Board, a look at how housing prices are faring metropolitan areas, including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Denver, Boston, Chicago and more.

"The average price of housing nationally rushed past $275,000 in the second quarter....Fueled largely by buyers who were worried they would be disqualified by higher mortgage rates, the average price of both new and existing houses in the nation's 32 largest metropolitan areas rose 9.3 percent...."
