Three Days Riding All Of SF Muni's Routes

Four young men spend three days nonstop riding the lengths of every possible line of San Francisco's Muni bus system. They call it 'Municon 2004.'

Maps were scrutinized. Rules were drawn up, including a ban on taxis or cars to get from line to line. And Maas' girlfriend agreed to a critical task: bringing life-sustaining super burritos to a prearranged checkpoint...

from Friday evening to Monday afternoon, Gil Hackel, 19, Nate Maas, 20, Trammell Scruggs, 22, and Zhenya Warshavsky, 21, rode the length of every possible line. That's about 60 routes from Daly City to Treasure Island to Ocean Beach to Golden Gate Park to the Marin Headlands.
