The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) has signaled the end of a 20-year rift with the Prince of Wales by this month approving The Prince's Foundation as a registered provider of Compulsory Professional Development (CPD) courses. The rift, which started after the Prince made his famous "carbuncle" speech at the 150th anniversary of RIBA, saw constant Press attacks close down a range of his educational programmes. All this now seems behind them, with the Foundation's latest education programme headed by Michael Mehaffy garnering support from a wide range of industry bodies.
