University Commits $75 Million To Turn Its Neighborhood Around

Cincinnati employers hope to raise $100 million more for related projects and job creation.

The Uptown area of Cincinnati, home to the University of Cincinnati, is made up of many struggling neighborhoods. More and better housing at a variety of price points is one result the university hopes to achieve with its unprecedented action. "That $75 million has been leveraged into $300 million in construction activity through the neighborhood partnerships," Brown said. "They've literally been the bank for their nonprofit partners."
