"This latest study, published in the journal Public Health, draws a straight line between the physical makeup of the communities we live in and our physical well-being...One of the study's most surprising findings was that those living in denser, more walkable communities tend to live four years longer than their sprawl-stressed peers. By taking steps to address the health effects of sprawl, we have an opportunity to improve the quality of life in our communities while having more time to enjoy it."
