SF's New Office Development Plan

The San Francisco Partnership and three of the city's most-influential business groups -- the Chamber of Commerce, the Committee on Jobs and the San Francisco Planning and Urban Research Association -- have joined forces to revise Proposition M. Prop. M is an ordinance that limits citywide development to just under one million square feet annually. The proposal would create a new category of development for Internet and high-tech companies that would be excluded from the Prop. M cap. Neigborhood and anti-growth groups oppose the measure and suggest that the changes would displacing longtime residents and increase traffic.
