Twenty years after a Union Carbide factory leaked a deadly chemical into the air killing over 20,000 and causing debilitating illnesses in around 100,000 others, the victims of the disaster have yet to receive adequate compensation. Toxic materials at the disaster site in Bhopal, India, continue to contaminate groundwater and claim new victims.

An elaborate hoax by "The Yes Men" that duped the BBC has brought corporate responsibility for the environmental disaster back into the media spotlight.
