The National Association of Local Government Environmental Professionals (NALGEP) have released their latest report, "Profiles of Local Clean Air Innovation, Empowering Communities to Meet the Air Quality Challenges of the 21st Century." The report highlights the role local governments play in improving air quality and how regional collaboration could lead to greater success. Santa Barbara, San Francisco and Santa Monica are profiled in the report as positive examples of collaboration, and profiles of local governments' efforts to improve air quality, improve communication among government officials, and promote smart growth nationwide are also included in the report.
