Several prominent commercial real estate firms publish their combined outlook for commercial property in 2005.
"Overall commercial real estate worldwide will continue to perform well as an asset class during 2005. The strong demand for retail space in good locations by retailers and investors will intensify.
The industrial market, especially distribution facilities and long term net leases to single tenants, will continue to see strong investor demand. The office market will recover, in patches, worldwide with certain high demand cities like the Washington D.C. area, London's West End, Hong Kong and Johannesburg's decentralized northern areas topping office demand on their respective continents", accordindg to the report published by Grubb & Ellis, Knight Frank and Avison Young.
