The Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority is making sweeping changes to city neighborhoods, but at what cost?

Philadelphia "is in the process of condemning about 5,560 buildings as part of Mayor Street's far-reaching Neighborhood Transformation Initiative (NTI). The majority of properties condemned under NTI are abandoned. But about 249 demolitions require residents to be relocated," according to the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority (RDA). Supposedly, "[e]ighty-eight families have already moved, and the remaining relocations are in the works," but many residents have received little warning and miniscule compensation for their homes.
