"It turns out that the Seattle Times was running screamer headlines and finger-wagging editorials about an initial monorail bid that was potentially $250 million below what voters approved. The headline could have been, "Monorail bid starts out $250 million below voter-approved price." Instead, the [Seattle] Times, not even knowing where the bid stands today, scared voters with a misleading front-page story and an ill-informed editorial."
