The scandal emerging from the Gomery Inquiry into kickbacks to the Liberal Party in Quebec may result in a non-confidence vote this week in Canada's Parliament. If an election is called, the Liberal budget -- with its commitment to investing 1.5 cents-per-litre of gas tax in public transit and $5 billion towards implementing the Kyoto Protocol -- will "vanish."
