Dr. Fred Singer offers an acceptance speech after being awarded the flat earth award for denying global warming.

From The Flat Earth Award Website: "Fred Singer has the longest track record of our nominees as a vocal global warming denier. Dr. Singer began his career as an atmospheric scientist, and in the 1970s served as a government administrator. Over the last 18 years, Singer has published two articles on global warming in a peer-reviewed journal. He is now a media spokesperson, disputing the scientific consensus regarding global warming.

Fred Singer is nominated for the inaugural Flat Earth Award for his lifetime 'achievements' in working to discredit the science that strongly indicates that human-induced global warming is indeed occuring."

Dr. Singer prepared the following acceptance speech:

"Dear Students of Middlebury College: I thank you for nominating me for the Flat Earth Award, along with Michael Crichton and Rush Limbaugh. I am truly honored to be in the company of these two gentlemen who are able to communicate the truth about global warming to millions of people..."
