As funding for education has decreased across the country, many jurisdictions have sought innovative ways to improve public schools. Chief Executive Officer for Chicago Public Schools Arne Duncan is responsible the third largest school distric in the nation. He is also at the forefront of a movement to create smaller, community schools that make the most of scarce public resources for both students and their neighborhoods.
