San Francisco's plans for 1.58-million-square-foot entertainment, retail and hotelcomplex might just be the largest urban redevelopment project in the country. "Officials estimate that the project could generate $14 million a year in property taxes, in addition to 2,300 full-time jobs and 1,100 construction jobs." However critics question the impact of the plan on historic preservation, urban design, and traffic.
