A trash transfer station in Stanton, CA, "expects to be the first in the state to use a biofilter --an innovate, all-natural air-cleansing device that uses bacteria to filter foul-smelling fumes" from trash. The biofilter is "designed by Seattle firm CH2M Hill and based on models long used at European farms and composting facilities."
