Bay Area July homes sales were down 14 percent from June as buyers get hit by sticker shock from July's record high prices. Experts say "...the July (2000) sales volume is closer to normal than the prior two years...1998 and 1999 were particularly hot in the Bay Area"and warn that "buyers shouldn't take that as a signal home prices will be coming down anytime soon."
