Community activists in Bath, Maine restore the centerpiece of City Park.

Nearly 200 people gathered around the pond at historic City Park in Bath, Maine on Sunday to celebrate the restoration of the "Spirit of the Sea," sculpted by William Zorach in 1962. A private group chose to once again honor Bath's rich maritime history by raising more than $100,000 to repair the sculpture. Community activist Barbara Sargent called the effort "just an outpouring of joy and pride."
