Kelo vs. New London continues to raise questions, as state and local officials in the Commonwealth discuss its implications.
In an effort to support individual property rights, the State of Massachusetts has joined Alabama and Delaware in an effort to explicitly restrict cities' eminent domain powers. The move, which is being lead by a bipartisan group of state lawmakers will most likely face strong opposition from local leaders and agencies who believe that limiting the power of eminent domain will hamper their efforts to rejuvenate rundown neighborhoods.
