"A desire for larger garages is catching on throughout the United States, but it's especially strong in the Midwest, according to a recent report from the National Association of Home Builders... Larger vehicles and a desire for more storage space are driving the trend, according to NAHB. Homebuyers are using the garage to store yard and garden equipment, seasonal recreational vehicles and other large possessions, in addition to the family car, sport utility vehicle or minivan."
