"I will apologize," O'Reilly said in his interview with NAHB President Dave Wilson: "My remarks were too broad to Donald Trump and I was insensitive to the fact that I think probably 80% of your industry is honest and hard-working, and I will apologize, Mr. Wilson."

Observers may wonder if O'Reilly's implication is that the other 20% of the industry is in fact corrupt.

"The on-the-air apology ends a storm of protest from home builders, who sent a barrage of e-mails to Oâ€™Reilly over the past few weeks."
