"The Altamont Commuter Express train has seen more than an 11 percent jump in ridership over the past few months. ACE operates three daily round-trip commuter trains between Stockton and San Jose with stops in Lathrop, Tracy, Pleasanton, Fremont and Santa Clara."

"San Joaquin Regional Transit District officials say more people are riding commuters buses, with a 10 percent increase in ridership from August to September."

"BART recently added more cars to its trains during commute hours. Ridership spiked by 4 percent in September, while Amtrak's San Joaquins trains increased ridership in August compared with the previous year, officials said."
