To benchmark the progress made in this effort, we have created this index of economic and social indicators that measure the impact of rebuilding efforts in Orleans Parish, the New Orleans metropolitan area, Louisiana, and Mississippi. This information is designed to serve as an independent, fact-based, resource for leaders to monitor and evaluate rebuilding efforts."
