Dru Crawley (U. S. Department of Energy), Jon Hand (University of Strathclyde, UK), Michael Kummert (University of Wisconsin Solar Energy Laboratory) and Brent Griffith (National Renewable Energy Laboratory) have released a report comparing the features and capabilities of 20 simulation programs. It is hoped that the report will be a resource for the simulation community and the intent is for it to become a living document.

For the past 50 years, a wide variety of building energy simulation programs have been developed, enhanced, and are in use throughout the building energy community. This report provides an up-to-date comparison of he features an capabilities of twenty major building energy simluation programs.
