Washington, D.C. suburbs are growing so fast that the roads haven’t caught up.
That Braddock Road near Fairfax County, Virginia, "is unpaved most of the way…doesn't stop motorists from making 3,000 trips on it each day, according to a county study. Most of them bounce along during morning and evening rush hours, avoiding pothole after pothole and pulling over to let oncoming drivers pass." According to one commuter, "Driving on Braddock is worse than driving on the roads of any Third World country."
