Think Tank's Green Thinking Garners Gold

The new headquarters of pre-eminent think-tank RAND received a LEED Gold certification for a building design that reflects the ideals of the institution.

Through a collaborative process, DMJM Design worked with RAND to develop a design that is tailored to the unique needs of RAND's pre-eminent thinkers. The successful collaboration continues now even after completion of the building as RAND garners Gold LEED certification -- a first for both RAND and DMJM Design.

"The new headquarters of pre-eminent think-tank RAND has been awarded LEED Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. Designed by Los Angeles-based DMJM Design and built by Turner Construction Co., the new headquarters adjacent to RAND's longtime home was constructed to reflect the institution's values of researcher collaboration, conservation of client and natural resources, and an ability to adapt to future changes."
