Inland Southern California Leads State In Growth

Riverside and San Bernardino counties continue to attract jobs and residents, some fleeing from the costlier, more congested areas of Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego counties.

A report released this week by Los Angeles County Economic Development Corp. says Inland Southern California again topped the state both in jobs and housing growth, confirming what many area residents have felt the past few years as the region nears 4 million in population.

"More people got jobs and built homes in Riverside and San Bernardino counties in 2005 than anywhere else in the state, and that pattern will continue this year..."

"Demand for Inland-area office and industrial space will also be strong next year as Southern California companies push east in search of less expensive quarters."
