As Bakersfield plans for a new stadium, other cities show losses.

Most new stadiums in the Class A Cal League lose money each year, a surveyfound. One baseball executive said "I don't know of one city that has beenhappy with their stadium deal. The will never make money with a stadium on aminor league level." Bakersfield hopes to build a downtown stadium as part ofa City Center entertainment development.
