Officials seek to buy into Goleta's high-tech development to clear path for proposed expansion of runway.

Santa Barbara Municipal Airport is poised to spend millions of dollars to buy into the largest high-tech project ever planned in Goleta. The 12-building, 72-acre Cabrillo Business Park falls into the Airport's "safe zone" and would interfere with a long-planned $8 million extension of the main runway and an aircraft overrun area.
