The number of coyote sightings in the suburbs has increased dramatically, especially in the South and Northeast, as the animals learn to thrive in their new environments.

"When Kathryn Bowden first saw a coyote near her home a year ago, she was shocked. The last thing she expected to encounter in her neighborhood, which is six miles from downtown Atlanta, was a large wild animal."
