The Riverside City Council is set to vote this week on the initial plans for a $780 million citywide proposal for municipal facilities and infrastructure, which city officials say will produce long-planned projects and make up for previously deferred upgrades.
Called the "Riverside Renaissance Initiative," the spending plan outlines funding for numerous transportation, recreational, cultural and general infrastructure projects. City officials say funding is already available for approximately half the projects and hope to obtain the rest through various means, including local, state and federal mechanis
