A Georgia developer wanting to build a Target store in suburban Rochester, New York placed an ad in the town's local paper saying their "patience is thinning" with the town board -- a major miscalculation on the part of the developer.
Impatient with the Town of Chili Planning Board and Town Board's deliberation of a proposed 53-acre shopping center, a Georgia developer took out an ad in the local paper to criticize, pressure, and threaten the Town. The ad states that "if the project does not move forward immediately, Chili will lose its opportunity with Target [the project's retail anchor], now and in the future."
Town officials are irate, saying that the developer's public relations firm should be fired, and that this public insinuation that the Town is not doing its job is not an intelligent approach.
