Economic development leaders are touting a soon to be launched Internet database of hundreds of properties in 10 Western Pennsylvania counties around Pittsburgh as a valuable tool to attract companies and jobs.
Beginning next year, hundreds of industrial, office, and multi-use buildings and development sites in Western Pennsylvania will be included in an online database intended for companies looking to relocate or expand in the region. PittsburghProspector.com will feature properties in 10 counties and offer aerial photographs as well as demographic information, wage data, and lists of nearby businesses. The Pittsburgh Regional Alliance will manage the database and include listings from its existing database of approximately 200 properties. Grubb & Ellis Co. is among the local real estate firms that will add to the new GIS database.
