Growth A Concern In Idaho, According To Survey

Growth, education and jobs/wages/employment are the top concerns identified in public policy survey conducted recently by Boise State University's social science research center.

"What Idaho said about growth

Twenty-one percent of all respondents said growth is the top issue in the state.

• 46 percent said services in their cities and counties were keeping up with growth. North Idaho and the region that includes the Treasure Valley were the least satisfied.

• 54 percent said they would support mass transit where they lived. In the Treasure Valley, 61 percent said they would.

• 47 percent said vehicle emissions testing should be statewide. The Treasure Valley was the most supportive, with 56 percent."
