"I was one of the founding members (No. 9) of the Calgary Alternative Transportation Co-operative and am currently its co-chair. We now have more than 140 members sharing seven cars through a web-based reservation system. I've used a combination of bicycling, car sharing, carpooling, rentals and public transit for all my transportation needs since 2000 and get a lot of satisfaction from it. I've sometimes gone more than a month without getting into a motor vehicle."
