The California Transportation Commission ( http://www.catc.ca.gov/default.htm ) approved $127 million for 11transportation projects that are part of Governor Davis' TrafficCongestion Relief Plan ( http://www.governor.ca.gov/text/traffic/ ) .The projects would include passenger rail improvements between Oaklandand San Jose and a new light rail line in East Los Angeles, as well asseveral highway improvement projects.
