EDS has created the first and largest temporary Metropolitan Area Network for the massive COMDEX technology conference in Las Vegas.
COMDEX is the Superbowl of technology conferences, and the 200,000 attendees who converge on Las Vegas for the week-long show strain the city's infrastructure to the limit. To accomodate the City's technology requirements for the conference, technology consulting company EDS and COMDEX have created the first and largest temporary Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) which connects five different conference facilities within the city. The network also creates opportunities to test and showcase revolutionary metropolitan optical network capabilities that promise to bring superior value to companies and individuals seeking to compete successfully in the rapidly evolving digital economy. PLANetizen is reporting live on new planning and development technologies being presented at COMDEX.
