"A $75 million budget gap has Miami-Dade County officials publicly doubting the future of the two-hall performing arts center plan. Alternatives put forth include building only one hall, placing the second in Miami Beach or scrapping the idea altogether. But PAC proponents say changing the plan now would have a steep price, and they're looking at ways to cut costs -- including negotiating construction bids down. Meanwhile, a majority of the center's top private donors say they're in for the long haul."
