"Town Builder Studios has helped gather four builders committed to building 800 houses at $65 per square foot in Robbins. The current development project ambitiously aims to slowly bring upscale houses in compact communities to the south suburb, where the median income is $27,600 a year, according to U.S. Census figures. Officials hope the project will be complete in five years."

"Homes, which vary in style, are constructed according to buyers' specifications. They range from $179,000 to $229,000 and are designed to attract buyers who can't afford to live in Chicago but want to be close by."
