SM has new guidelines for building size. This may slow growth and possibly reduce the value of some property.

Santa Monica has become a victim of its own success. New employment and development is causing congestion and reducing the factors that make SM desirable, and one of the region's hottest markets. It is anticipated that the planning department of SM may take up to two years to review new projects.
