Habitat for Humanity is planning a 22-home subdivision in Piru, California. This is its most ambitious project yet.
It usually builds one home at a time. But land became available in Piru, east of Fillmore. So, Habitat for Humanity is doing a whole subdivision. They are hoping that this holiday season will bring out the volunteers and the donations. Seven homes are already finished, and five more are under construction. It is hoped that the remaining 10 will be completed by the end of 2001.
