LA's regional technology alliance updates its ranking of Southern California's technology environment.
The Los Angeles Regional Technology Alliance's (LARTA) new report, Southern California Technology Innovation Index, provides the first comprehensive insight into the technology economy built in the region in the past decade. And it departs significantly from the "one size fits all" pageants put out by these respected magazines. It does not seek to popularize notions of "livability" or "desirability" by comparing apples and oranges. It seeks to put in context the indicators of economic vitality, innovation and resource availability in the region compared with the Bay Area, Massachusetts and Austin-San Marcos, which we refer to as Leading Technology Regions. A full copy of the report is available on the website.
