A developer is listening to and working with residents hoping to gain community support a large housing project.
The Irvine Company is planning to develop 494 acres of rolling hills in Orange County into 1,746 units. Its a huge project that people have come to expect from the Irvine Co. However, what is surprising is the developers unprecedented effort to meet with the neighboring community and involve residents in the planning process. "What the Irvine Co. got from its effort was the chance to walk into City Hall with a project that faced a lot less opposition than it might have."
