Design Review Meetings Must Be Public

A judge rules that the Cincinnati Urban Design Review Board's meetings must be open to the public.

The Cincinnati Post sued the City of Cincinnati in June, 2000, arguing that the public has the right to attend board meetings where designs for the $334 million, publically-financed baseball stadium are discussed. The court ruled that that review board meetings are open to the public when they involve companies bound by contracts that dictate they must go through the design review process.
